One of the abbeys Gent was founded on. Accessible only on Sundays.

During the Revolt of Ghent in 1539 much of the abbey was torn down by Charles V. What's left has been taken back by nature. Yet it is still very beautiful, and it is amazing that any of the structure is still standing! Tip: it is not open to the public every day to help preserve it, so be sure to check it first on the website. Cost: donation

Amazing little ruin within a nice park.

Mooie ruïne van de Sint-Baafsabdij, daarnaast ook een klein park met struiken in de vorm van de abdij hoe ze vroeger was. Sowieso een mooie wandeling langs daar om naar de stad te gaan.
