The Hudson River Skywalk is a pedestrian path that connects Thomas Cole National Historic Site and Frederic Church's Olana allowing you to walk in the path of these historic artists. You'll cross the Rip Van Winkle Bridge, which spans the Hudson River and connects Hudson, NY with the charming riverside town of Catskill, NY. From three viewing decks along the Skywalk, hundreds of feet in the air, you will enjoy panoramic views of the Hudson Valley.

Walk across the Hudson River on the Rip Van Winkle Bridge for beautiful views of both sides of the river, Columbia County on the Hudson NY side and Greene County on the Catskill side. The Skywalk is a 3 mile walk linking Olana, Frederic Church’s home, on the Hudson NY side, with Cedar Grove, Thomas Cole’s home, both historic sites featuring Hudson River School original art and viewsheds.

While it’s not the most relaxing walk with the cars zipping by on the bridge, the river views are gorgeous and Whitecliff Vineyard is right there on the Hudson side of the bridge.
