Tammelan tori is the most active open air market in Tampere. Try out the Muikku or visit one of the best fish restaurants in Tampere called Veijon Kokkitykki on Kyllikinkatu.

The best market in Tampere:local food producers get fresh food here to sell daily 6 AM-14 PM. Flea market, coffee and lunch served. Tapola sells the authentic local "musta makkara" (black sausage).

A small marketplace just nearby. On summer you can find here some small restaurants, buy berries, flowers and ice cream. Sometimes on Saturday morning/midday there is small acoustic concerts. On the other side of the road there is a playground for children. Local tip: You can taste here Tampere's local speciality, "musta makkara" (Black sausage) in Tapola's kiosk.

Tammelantori represents a traditional marketplace of Finnish cities. Veggies of the season and marketplace food is the main thing here. It might not be beautiful but you can buy the famous black sausage (mustamakkara) at Tammelantori.
