Used to be THE Thai place in town. I was told since the chef recently changed, it's hit-or-miss, which is our experience as well. My vegetarian choices were good, but my folks didn't like their meat dishes.
Highly recommended! Thai Smile offers the best Thai and Chinese food in the entire Palm Springs area with a very nice ambience. From spicy to mild, seafoods to saucy beef dishes, this Thai-Chinese fusion restaurant is local and delicious. Excellent Kung Pao shrimp and chicken dishes. Vegetarian…

Excellent Thai food, but can get very busy, so plan accordingly. It's in downtown Palm Springs.
Spacious locale. You will not wait long for a table. Try Yum-Nua (Marinated grilled beef mixed with fresh mint leaves, lettuce) and Masaman Curry.
“Grab a bite, and brunch on the patio or in the restaurant. Tons of food options and reasonably priced drinks. Great bar menu.”
“Founded in 1938, the Palm Springs Art Museum (formerly the Palm Springs Desert Museum) is the largest cultural institution in the Coachella Valley.”
“Amazing place for brunch, plus it's in downtown Palm Springs making it nice to wander around.”
“Mexican food somewhere between bad and mediocre, but it's always a lively scene in the heart of downtown PS. And the oldtimer band playing cover songs all night sounds perfect once you're drunk enough to dance with your toddlers to your favorite yacht rock tunes. If you're vegan, make sure to ask for chips fried separately in vegetable oil, they will gladly accommodate you. Avoid LULU next door at all cost, unless you like tacky decor, BLAND food, salt shakers that don't work, slow service and getting blasted by instrumental Euro pop while asking the waiter why they added extra cheese to your vegan pasta.”
“It's PF Chang's style and food - with a decidedly local feel and flavor. Full bar with outdoor area. Hip and contemporary decor done in soothing earth-tones. Great Chinese-Asian fusion foods ? great bar and dining areas. Contemporary flair with food and drinks. Great design and ambiance. A bustling and energetic environment. Known among locals for Friday afternoon happy hour. This restaurant is very popular with gay clientele, especially on Friday evenings/nights with a bustling happy hour that is popular with gay tourists and locals.”
