Select coffee, espresso, tea, drinking chocolates, wine, beer, dessert, pastries in a public house/lounge setting.
There are three locations of this creative coffee shop and roastery in Durham, but the closest is straight down Geer St. Try one of their creative drinks, including a wide selection of hot chocolates. This is a lovely place to sit and take in the Durham scene. After your coffee, you can stroll…
Chill coffeehouse for single-origin coffee, tea, & drinking chocolate. One of our favorite little coffee shops.
A favorite local coffee shop. Cozy indoor space, outdoor seating, and great drinks including drinking chocolate.
Cocoa cinnamon is THE spot for any “work from home” person or student. Their coffee never disappoints and they usually offer pastries from local bakeries as well. If you care to venture into historic Lakewood, the Cocoa Cinnamon location there offers one of a kind churros.
The first Cocoa Cinnamon, and still my favorite. Great outdoor patio, inventive drinks.
“Great place to have a drink. They have ping pong tables and games here as well. Locally brewed beer.”
“Their pizza is killer. Everything else on the menu is equally as delicious - we sometimes order from the antipasti menu without even getting pizza!”
“Need a creamy frozen treat? This is THE best ice cream (including vegan and soft serve) in the area. I like Maple View Farms and their view in Hillsborough, but this is the legit thing.”
“Authentic, beautifully prepared, adventurous Spanish tapas. Always a hit, great for groups, or just a couple at the bar. This is the place we bring visiting friends so we can show them how fun Durham is.”
“A popular breakfast and lunch spot, this is the place to go if you want an amazing donut or breakfast sandwich. Pro-tip: you can skip the line and sit at the bar for immediate service. Recommended: Chana Masala Breakfast Plate, Fried Chicken Biscuit, Lox Plate.”
