This is the old town of Budapest. Reach it from Lánchíd, it's a beautiful route.
The historical city center of Budapest with cobble-stone streets, good restaurants, intimate cafes, museums and with stunning view to the whole city.
The entire castle district is a listed building and is part of the UNESCO world heritage. In addition to the castle and the Matthias church, I particularly recommend visiting the Hilton hotel with it's integrated ruins of a dominican monastery.
For a small walking tour. Take the Bus 16 from Deak Ferenc square to get there.
Discover the area and visit the Castle of Buda, Matthias church and Fisherman's bastion.
“Parliament - Give yourself time to see the building from the river side & also a visit inside!”
“Chill green escape in the middle of the Danube. I recommend it especially in summer!”
“i love hösok tere, even if there are always many people its very monumental and close to the beautiful park, also you can walk down famous andrassy utca but also take the very first metro of budapest, the number 1 its cute and small and very interesting”
“The Great Market Hall in Budapest (in Hungarian Nagycsarnok or Vasarcsarnok) was built in 1897, and is the most beautiful and largest of all Budapest market halls (yes, there are more historical market halls in Budapest, like the one in Hold Street called the Downtown Budapest Market Hall).”
“Gozsdu-udvar (English: Gozsdu Courtyard) comprises seven buildings and their courtyards in the 7th district of Budapest. Gozsdu Courtyard is one of the most dynamically improving nightlife centres in the downtown of Budapest; it is a meeting point that combines entertainment, gastronomy and culture. ”
