I like to walk from the Furber Stairs however taking the Golden Stairs takes less time. Magical and you will be rewarded once you reach the Ruined Castle by great views and a slightly scary climb up the rocks.

The Ruined castle is a well-loved and iconic rock formation that gives you a great view of the valley. To get to it you need to take the golden stair case and is around 4.2 km long. After doing this you wont feel bad about that awesome pudding you ate at the Megalong Valley Tea rooms!
