Pacifica Municipal Pier
Pacifica is home to one of the best fishing piers in the state. Although fishing can be good year round, many consider the summer months to be the best when salmon and striped bass can be caught. No admission is charged and no fishing license is required at the Pacifica Municipal Pier.
Awesome place that you can go crabbing and fishing for free. No license needed if fishing off of the pier. Best bait to use is squid or sardines for catching crab. There is a season for which you are allowed to catch crab, which is from November through July. Lots of nice people there too. It’s…
Pacifica pier is a beautiful beach it's very scenic, the dock juts out in an L shape into the sea so people can do fishing and crabbing. You don't need a license to crab there - but that can also be a problem because there's so many people there everyday. There's sinks to wash your hands and the…
Always packed with fisherpeople (and you can be one of them b/c no license is required to fish here...ever!). Walk out to the end for views of whales breaching during their migration seasons.
“A wine bar with small plates that go well with wine. They often have live music on the weekends. A nice place to go after walking along Rockaway Beach.”
“Historic restaurant with excellent prime rib and seafood. Some tables feature fabulous ocean views”
“A nearby coffee shop with good food, though I wouldn't say inexpensive. Check the hours on Yelp before you go; they're open from very early until 2 or 3 only in the afternoon, and not on Tuesdays. I like the seating areas inside and out. This building was, I believe, in fact the train station for the old railroad that came from San Francisco before route 1 was built.”
Grocery or Supermarket
“Longtime supermarket chain carrying brand-name & house-label groceries, plus a deli, bakery & more.”
