The Children's Museum of Memphis
This interactive play space is full of activities! Outdoor playground and splash park in the summer. Carousel inside. Take your kids, you will thank us later.
If you end up in Memphis on a rainy day and looking to take the kids somewhere, this is the spot. It’s not the cheapest place, but it usually keeps the kids occupied for a full day. During the summer, they open up a splash pad as well.
A fantastic spot for your kids to play, explore and learn! In the summer, don't miss the splash pad!
“Neighborhood pub offering southern classics. Has sports on tv! Named the "Vault" because it is located inside an old bank and it actually had a vault. ”
“From the raw bar to the hearth, The Gray Canary is full of surprises. With a cocktail menu built from scratch and a curated wine list, the drinks reflect adventure in the same way that the food and the atmosphere do, all working collectively to create an unforgettable dining experience.”
Sporting Goods Shop
“The massive retail space combines a giant-sized version of a Bass Pro shop with a giant cypress swamp filled with fish and alligators, a 13-lane bowling alley, a 28-story freestanding glass elevator, a 120-room hotel that resembles a swanky lodge, an observation deck at the tip of the Pyramid (visit for a fee), and all manner of boats, ATVs, and more to explore. Oh, and a gun range, an archery range, a shooting gallery, and a hotel spa. So, let's just call it Disney for outdoorsy types. Or anyone who wants to marvel at the marriage of a pyramid and a hunting lodge. Weirdly, it just works. Well worth the fee for the view on good weather days.”
“This was a popular field trip destination when I was growing up, but it also has really cool exhibits, usually involving space or dinosaurs. They have a planetarium as well which is also cool. My best friend is getting married here in the spring.”
“Within walking distance (15 minutes) or a quick Uber/Lyft ride (5 minutes) from the Magnolia House has a great dinner/music scene and enjoyed by all. Make this a stop while in Memphis. ”
