The breathtaking Lopwell Dam on the upper tidal mark of the River Tavy is an excellent site for bird watching and walking. A brand new cafe and visitor centre is welcoming guests at the recently refurbished Old Pumphouse at Lopwell.

At low tide you can cross the River Tavy on granite walk way & walk to Bere Ferres. At high tide it is a good spot to canoe, or hire paddle boards. Should you want to hire a paddle board -Contact South west SUP to find when they are next here.

Small car park but a nice walk once across the river - WATCH THE TIDES!!!

A nice place to walk or just sit and have a cup of tea in the cafe overlooking the dam.
