The Center for Birds of Prey
Amazing way to spend a couple of hours. We often take our own friends and family guests here and they are never disappointed. Be sure to call ahead - they have limited hours!
This is one of the coolest places to visit in Charleston. Check their website for a calendar of events.
This area is rich in wildlife and birds of prey. This would be a great stop on your way to the Francis Marion National Forest and Cape Romaine Wildlife Preserve.
A RESCUE ORGANISATION FOR WILD BIRDS OF PREY. THEY HAVE EAGLES, OWLS, LOT OF OWLS AND DUE FLY DEMONSTRATIONS. WE REALLY ENJOYED THIS
One of the best Birds of Preys center in the country / world. About a 30 minute drive
“A big selection of beers and wines, many local, with a fully stocked liquor store as well.”
“Quaint little "downtown" ... shops, services, and you have to stop at the Pitt Street Pharmacy for an old-fashioned milkshake! ”
“A quaint Mount Pleasant house converted into a cafe, Vintage Coffee Cafe offers delicious coffee drinks, beer, wine, creative and fresh breakfast and lunch, and a large backyard with seating and an area for kids to play.”
“Best seashell finding around! Right across the street from the The Boathouse restaurant so this makes a great spot for a beach walk after dinner. The currents can be dangerous, so be careful if getting in for a swim!”
