The Marlowe Theatre
The Marlowe Theatre is one of the country’s leading regional theatres and an influential creative voice in Canterbury.
Modern theatre for Shakespeare, musicals and stand-up with a studio for contemporary performances. Just 20 minutes drive up the A2!
London shows at Canterbury prices. Interestingly this is the 3rd Marlowe Theatre to be built on the same site.
It may be worth checking to see if there are any good shows on while you visit.
If you want to see a show, The Marlowe is a great theatre. We often get many of the London shows during their tours for a fraction of the price.
This eclectic venue has been known to host popular music and popular theatre! A personal favourite of mine.
“With a wonderful cathedral dating back centuries, museums, excellent food and drink, markets, artisan shopping, a great ambience, this is a lovely city to visit for a day out.”
“Shipped off to Australia Beaney made his money hoaxing people in small Australian outback towns that he was a visiting dignitary, no internet! He sent the money home to build the institute:-)”
“A lovely welcoming cinema showing a wide range of independent films. Cosy lounge area filled with games and books. Afternoon screens can be enjoyed with great tea and coffee and a range of snacks and there is an extensive wine selection for evening films. As well as the rich film programme, the cinema shows live opera, ballet and theatre. ”
“Approximately a 30/35 minute drive from the gateway flat, another wonderful opportunity to see these amazing animals and have an all round great day out!”
