The Meiko nature reserve is a gem in Kirkkonummi, just a short distance from the Helsinki metropolitan area. The route runs through a fern forest and on bedrock along the shores of Lake Meikojärvi. On the way are bunkers, trenches, and a dugout, remnants of wartime. In the thick forest, you can hear cuckoo or see a flying squirrel. There may be a loon on the lake. You could even think of finding trolls here. This is a popular area for birding, hiking, and mountain biking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. There is one kitchen canopy and two toilets along the route. The route is marked in yellow.

This place is a natural gem. If you stay at Einola, its kind of a must to have a walk around Meiko.

A nature park with lovely trails and lakes. Hikes are easy for people any age and along the walk there are resting places, some with the possibility to make a fire and eg grill sausages.
