Oakland Aviation Museum, formerly called Western Aerospace Museum, was founded in 1981 as a non-profit organization operating an aviation museum located at North Field of Oakland International Airport in Oakland, California.

Vintage hangar at Oakland International Airport. Museum of aircraft displays, artifacts, giant flying boat, and an Electra similar to the one flown by Amelia Earhart, who took off from this airfield.

For the aviation buff, this is a musn't-miss. Small and low-budget, it still manages to pack an impressive amount of history and some gorgeous old aircraft into the grounds.
