Known for its whistling Steam Clock and mix of souvenir shops, indie art galleries and decor stores in Victorian buildings. A trendy food and drink scene includes chic cocktail lounges and restaurants serving everything from gourmet sandwiches to local seafood.

Built in 1977, the clock that runs by steam and whistle. Every 15 mins, the clock plays a little song. This steam clock is one of the only ones in the world and one of the first. The neighbour would take you right back to Victorian London. You don't need to cross the pond to see London, just come to Gastown!!! Warning: some buildings are hunted.
