Enchant Christmas is a beloved light maze, billed as the biggest in the world, that will make its home in DC for the first time at the gorgeous Nationals Park from Nov. 22 – Dec. 29.
You can score an epic ‘gram from any part of Nationals Park, home to MLB’s Washington Nationals. Let the followers know you have great seats, or if you’re in right field, snap a selfie and tell the squad you’re enjoying a refreshing summery drink with former National League MVP Bryce Harper in the…
Nationals Park is located about a 25 minute walk, a 10 minute taxi from this location. You can also walk to a bus stop, metro station, or 8th street to take the circulator as public transportation options.
Nats won the 2019 World Championship, but even if it isn't baseball season, check schedule for other kinds of events, e.g., a huge Christmas bazaar, opera, a barbecue contest, and lots of other things.
“Home to the Washington Wizards (NBA) and the 2018 Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals (NHL).”
“Eastern Market is a historic market, built in 1873 as part of Pierre L’Enfant’s design for the city to include local neighborhood markets throughout the city. The architect of Eastern Market, Adolph Cluss, was the same architect who designed the Smithsonian Arts and Industries Building (the Smithsonian “castle” on the Mall!). The Market is open daily from 7am – 7pm (closed on Monday), and includes vendors who sell fresh local fish, meats, cheeses, flowers, and local goods. The big draw for the Market, however, is the weekend artisan market in which hundreds of DC’s local artists and crafters set up tents to sell their beautiful and artsy products. 7th street is closed down and it is a lot of fun! The artisan market is from 9am – 5pm each Saturday and Sunday. The Market Lunch is a cafe in the Market that serves a great breakfast - be sure to check it out! The “blue bucks” pancakes (blueberry buckwheat pancakes) are amazing and “the brick” is their famous breakfast sandwich.”
“Always free, filled with loads of fun things to see and do. Learning is fun!”
“ Visitors to Washington DC can see the building which houses the activities of the United States Congress. The Capitol Building offers free tours and special exhibits throughout the year.”
“Recently given a Michelin star and named many years running as a top restaurant in the country - they used to not accept reservations so you would have to line up in the afternoon to get a dinner slot. They do same day reservations now though starting at 9am, which you can access through their website. Definitely a splurge date night place!”
