Snoqualmie Valley Trail, which routes through Duvall’s natural areas, parks and farmland, is a wonderful place for runners, horseback riders and mountain bikers. A family-friendly area, the trail borders the tranquil Snoqualmie River and even traverses an occasional railroad trestle, as it was once the railway for the Chicago Milwaukee Railroad. Avid birders will be thrilled by its abundance of birds, including eagles and falcons. Before heading out on the trail, check out the interpretative signage at Depot Park and identify many of the flora and fauna along the way. Afterward, grab a lunch to go from one of Duvall’s many restaurants and enjoy at the new Depot Park firepits.

Biking, running or walking goes up to Rattlesnake or into Snoqualmie The North Bend trailhead, at Fourth Street and Ballarat Avenue, marks the last leg of the trail. Reaching the outskirts of town, the trail begins a barely perceptible grade past rows of blackberry bushes. Passing beneath Interstate 90 and then a short bridge over the rushing South Fork Snoqualmie River, the path begins its winding, 450-foot climb to Rattlesnake Lake over the next 5 miles. Most of the trail is shaded through this section, and it crosses a high trestle over a Boxley Creek tributary.

19 miles gravel trail that runs from Duvall, through Carnation (1 block for Dahlia House) to North Bend. Trail continues up the mountain via the John Wayne Trail.

Follows an old railroad route from the John Wayne Trail at Rattlesnake Lake to the town of Duvall, WA. The 31-mile trail is mostly packed gravel, with a small on-road portion and largely flat, the only climbing is between I-90 and Rattlesnake Lake. The trail runs right through our neighborhood!

This trail can take you all the way rattlesnake lake or Snoqualmie falls. Fun for bikes and walking/jogging. Lots of beautiful bridges and scenery. Easiest access is parking at the library.
