A brilliant pub that is very close to the cottage. Always friendly, amazing food and fairly priced. A selection of real ales, wines and spirits. You can usually walk in without a booking but I would recommend you book in advance to avoid any disappointment.

One of the nearby pubs which serves great food. as we don't serve food on a Monday and Tuesday night (we have a pizza van on a Tuesday) we often send guests to Emmott Arms if they are staying these nights. They have a great beer garden and their menu is highly recommended

Another local pub that has recently been taken over and undergone a refurb. A 5-minute drive away from the cottage, or you can incorporate a visit into a local walk.
