Set up with bird feeders and is a charming, relaxing place to sit and bird watch. Go during the week days when there are fewer folks with cameras, etc.

Madera Canyon is a great place to look for oak woodland species. Whenever I go with my birding friends we always stop at this lodge because they have a ton of feeders up. There’s always so many hummingbirds!

Because each visit to the lodge's bird watching area, I see something new. The Magnificent hummingbird my favorite so far. Great place to picnic or explore the hiking trails, or mountain bike trails near by.
