Get out of the city and into the desert. Maybe 45 minutes out of town, depending on traffic. Man made lakes in the desert are well worth a visit. Close to Dubai Cycle Track. You can also hire bikes.

Beautiful lakes in the middle of the desert you can spot migratory birds and black swans.

Fresh water lakes attracting a lot of birds. Easy access and also near the impressive cycling track around in the desert.
