Must take a walk around the island park in the middle of the Haw River, you might even find a hammock to rest and sunbathe in :)

Trails through an increasingly restored central Piedmont riparian forest with big tulip poplar, hackberry and elm, white and red oak, and sycamore. The island also has a kids' park and river access in the middle of the Haw River, between the twin bridges of Saxapahaw.
