(Cockermouth). Independently owned coffeehouse, The Moon & Sixpence, on main street in Cockermouth is hard to beat and is top of our list for best coffee locally. In warmer seasons you’ll find their coffee van #brewwithaview galavanting around buttermere and crummock, perfect fuel before a vertical hike.

The best coffee in Cockermouth. Lovely little cafe serves fantastic coffee from the Carvetti roastery just a couple of miles away. Home made cakes and scones. Watch the world go by from the cute little pavement terrace
