If you want to listen to Fado this is a good place. When I think of Fado, the image that immediately comes to mind is a shawl, a Portuguese guitar and expressions that reflect deep emotions. The word Fado comes from the Latin fatum, which means destiny. Fado sings the love, the pain, the loss and the injustice of society. Fado can be summed up in one word, "Saudade".
