The place to be for young folks, restaurant turns into disco

A great casual restaurant, one of my favourites in Amsterdam. Some good beers available. Nice outdoor seating in front of the restaurant. Reassuringly busy without being uncomfortably crowded. Menu offers a good selection of very tasty food, and everything we have ordered was cooked perfectly. Portions were generous. Prices are very fair. A great place for dinner and a few drinks.

Just everybody from the neighborhood comes to café de Tuin during the day. It's open every day from 10:00 pm for coffee and lunch. The food isn't all that good to be honest but the atmosphere makes up for it. Expect a very crowed lively café at night during weekends when a younger crowd takes over. It's located in the prettiest street in the Jordaan because of the view of Amsterdams main tower the Westertoren.

Good start or end of the evening. Not too fancy, just have a nice beer or wine.
