Where you will find Big Beach and Little Beach which is a great spot to boogie board
Mākena State Park comprises 165 acres in Makena, south of Wailea on the island of Maui, Hawaii. It contains three separate beaches and a dormant volcanic cinder cone. Big Beach, also known as "Oneloa Beach" and "Mākena Beach", is a popular spot for sunbathing and bodyboarding by both tourists and locals.
This is one of the last long beaches in Hawaii that does not have development along the beach. Hope to keep it that way. This is an open ocean beach - please take heed of the weather and ocean conditions prior to entering the water. I am told there is a lifeguard there on duty. There is a not so well kept secret about "little beach" right over the rocks to the right.... welllll.... little means just that..clothing optional.
