Great place... after you are done don't for get to stop at the Montezuma Winery if you'd like to taste the local wine in that area

If you really are interested in nature/photography, then this is the place to visit. As you travel along the New York State Thruway it's very hard to miss the gigantic rendition of the bald eagle that sits by the edge of the highway. It stands as an invitation for you to take the next exit and visit the Wildlife Refuge. Once there you will see several species of birds and other wildlife. Along the visitors' drive you will see wildlife in their natural habitat interacting with their environment and each other. A short drive from the cottage is this Wildlife Refuge home to waterfowl, eagles, osprey, and other wildlife.
