Round Pyramid. Built before the Spanish came to America. One of the few round pyramids in the world. There is a small site museum. March 21st. big spring celebration.

One of the oldest archeological sites in Mexico City, Cuicuilco is well know for its round pyramid. The site has a museum for you to learn about the early settlements in the Mexico City basin.

Cuicuilco means: Place where songs and dances are made Based on known facts, it was the first important civic-religious center of the Mexican Highlands. One of the pyramids was built in a strategic position, representing early prehispanic attempts to link religious concepts with cosmic events through building construction.
