There are many walking/hiking trails. A nature center and the "arb loop" is one of the city's most well know running/biking loop. It is exactly a 10k.

"The Arb" is one of my favorite running places with well-marked paths and a great way to connect to the ground and disconnect from the every day.

A nice longer run out our front door toward the zoo. Go around the back side following the marsh and enter the Arboretum to have a peaceful route.

Natural area great for walking, bird-watching, or looking at their native and ornamental plant gardens. Road that runs through it is good for biking and jogging.

The Arboretum features many distinct ecological communities. My favorite is a park with a huge horticultural selection where everything is labeled. Go here in May - breathtaking.
