The Yalta Club is certainly one of the most prominent places that come up when one starts talking about nightclubs in Sofia, Bulgaria. Being a significant part of the history, this club was the first one which started playing electronic music in the post-communist period. Many of the famous Bulgarian DJs started their musical journey from this very club. You might be surprised to know that this club brings in EDM DJs from across the globe and thus always remains very busy. Yalta has a historical significance in the emergence of a strong electronic music community in Bulgaria. It opened in 1959 and in 1989 it started to play electronic music.

Yalta is the oldest and most famous Bulgarian club. Located right opposite Sofia University, the emblematic establishment has been ranked among the world's top 100 clubs a lot of times over the course of the years. The music would depend on the DJs lineup for the night, but in most cases you can expect EDM or house music. While reservations aren't mandatory, you should check in advance on their website/Fb page if there's an event happening (guest DJ like Tiesto for example..). If there is one, you need to get tickets.
