Recently reopened under new management, this traditional pub is on the old road from Widdop to Hebden Bridge. Offering pub meals and real ales, it’s homely and offers amazing views and walking nearby. The road from Trawden is rural, so make sure you check the weather if visiting in winter! Best to check online for food service times and book.

If you are in your car and fancy a drive out or indeed if into serious walking and fancy a walk up through the top of Hardcastle Crags to the reservoirs (Widdop) then this is a great place. Great food and a great atmosphere. They are open all day Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday for food.
