A bit of a tourist trap - recommend public parking as area gets a bit sketchy in the evenings as you move away from the developed downtown and Gastown.

Horseshoe Bay is only about a half an hour drive from the heart of downtown Vancouver - the jewel of the North West. Stay on bowen but head to the city to take in some nightlife or a day trip to Granville island.

Take a walk to English Bay and visit the many restaurants or stroll along the seawall. Head up the hill to the fashionable shops along Robson Street. Need more shopping- try Granville Street, Pacific Centre Mall. Head out for dinner, or a beer, then catch a show.
