Large pub with a large beer garden (a rarity in these parts). One of the city's premier music venues. Free jazz jam on a Tuesday and gigs most every night of the week. Do great Sunday lunches, but it can get a bit full of noisy children at times.

Great pub with regularly changing good selection of beers including local brews. Probably our favourite beer garden (massive for Brighton) and the food is good too. Also close to sea but much nicer and less busy than the seafront places.
