This is a good place to start your trip. They have lots of recommendations for activities and give out free maps.

A great place to start your visit to Mammoth Lakes and the surrounding Eastern Sierras area. Lots of great knowledge about local hiking and biking trails, fishing, etc. as well as winter activities such as cross country skiing, ice skating, downhill skiing or snowboarding too!
