In Arenas there is a steep turnoff that takes you up the hill to the remains of Castle Bentomiz. The walls remain and one tower, from which you catch the most spectacular views of the whole area.

Ruins of an old Moorish castle, with a unbelievable view to the south towards the Mediterranean and the mountains in the north. A peaceful and awesome "must see".

Es un castillo antiguo situado en lo alto de la montaña que tuvo su importancia en la guerra entre musulmanes y cristianos. Fue destruido por los cristianos, pero las vistas que tiene son insuperables y se puede ver África en ocasiones, al igual que toda la costa. Recomendamos su visita.
