Home of the almost perfect bartenders. Local institution. Pool tables, terrible bathrooms, DJ on weekends...don't leave at bar break (2 am) unless you like asking for trouble.

Pioneer Bar is located on 4th Avenue. It is a fun hole-in-the-wall bar. Typically it is a younger crowd (20's and 30's), but as with any bar in Alaska, you'll find people of all ages. There are pool tables and dancing. This is a fun place on the weekends.

This is where the 20s and 30 somethings go to have a long neck. Very good!
