Slovenian puppet theatre was founded in 1948 and provides over 500 performances annually. It upkeeps the proud Slovenian puppetry tradition. Keep an eye out for the puppets of Martin Krpan and his horse that come out of the small tower on the roof of the building on the hour. Opposite the funicular there is a Puppet theatre Children book store. Here you can buy some illustration art (prints, originals and other stuff) from local authors.
