Take a ferry ride to get closer to this world famous icon of liberty and freedom. Tip: The view of the statue is best seen on the ferry or across at Battery Park. Going to the island itself makes it too upclose for any photography and selfie. Furthermore, the wait to get back on the ferry is really long. It might be more enjoyable to stay on the ferry and enjoy the round-trip ride.
