A two-story shop in Shibuya that opened up a couple of years ago, it’s very representative of the current renewed interest in the LP format. As well as secondhand music, they have reissued analog recordings and rarely seen new products. They spotlight a wide variety of styles and also sell analog equipment and books, among other goods. They often hold live events on the first floor, mostly shows by J-pop idol groups with autograph sessions afterward. Upstairs, they have special DJ sessions. Check online to see what’s happening.

If you're a music enthusiast who still swears by vinyl and enjoys digging through piles of secondhand records, then this Shibuya shop will feel like a small slice of heaven. Opened in August 2014, HMV stocks up to 80,000 titles, with around 60% of those being vinyl and the rest mainly CDs. The focus is on releases from the '60s to the late '90s – something for everyone, in other words. On the first floor you'll find rock and pop records, secondhand CDs, books and mags, accessories and music players, while the second floor is dedicated to genres like soul, reggae and jazz, while a small room in the back even holds a small selection of cassette tapes.
