I suck at golf, but I still enjoy getting out to play, which is why the Asheville Muni course is perfect, since it's affordable (as far as golf courses go) and still a great course to play on. It's basically two courses in one, with the front nine a mix of flat, open 'links' style holes, and the back nine a mix of tight, tree-lined holes that work their way up and down hilly terrain.

Asheville Golf Course is a true gem and one of the oldest courses in Western North Carolina. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this classic layout was designed by famed course architect Donald Ross in 1927 and it accomplishes the difficult double task of being challenging and fun.

Our favorite place to play! Donald Ross designed. Such friendly people and wonderful prices. Front nine is flat and wide, back nine a little more challenging.
