The museum presents to visitors historical insight into the Yugoslavian Navy, and its links to the town of Tivat. The museum, along with a restored Yugoslav submarine, stands in Porto Montenegro Village.

Reflecting the area’s rich maritime tradition, the Naval Heritage Collection is housed in a beautifully restored building and showcases over 300 artefacts, from Yugoslav submarines to the diaries of Montenegro’s Princess Ksenija, Austro-Hungarian ship equipment and industrial machines. Themed exhibitions are displayed throughout the year in addition to the permanent collection pieces; for many though, the star attraction remains the P821 submarine standing proudly across the street from the NHC building. Located at the northern end of Porto Montenegro Village, across from the Yacht Club complex, the ‘NHC’ also houses a small cafe.

Great location with the historical artifacts of the Kotor Bay. You can also see here the old Submarine.

Porto Montenegro doffs its hat to its past with this well-curated display( in Montenegrin and English) devoted to the history of the Arsenal shipyard and naval base, housed in one of the site.s beautiful old boat sheds. The star exhibits are too big for the museum: the two Yougoslav navy submarines dry-docked outside (tours 5e) . Parents can let the kids off the leash at an aptly nautical-themed playground right next to the museum.
