Watson Lake is beautiful and unique. You can do so many things here. You can hike, bike, canoe, kayak, and picnic. There is a short hike there to a waterfall. Easy and kid friendly. There is also a nice playground for the kiddos. My sister got married here and our church holds Easter services here. It is very special.

This is a little further than Goldwater, but only three more minutes. This is my favorite lake in the area. My kids climb on all the boulders and love it here. There is a big wide open park too. You could spend all day here relaxing if you wanted to. There is a disc golf area here too, but I haven't played it yet.

Depending on the season and the light, the granite formations at Arizona’s Watson Lake can glow a ruddy brick-red color, a delicate salmon pink, or a rich tan. Regardless of the hue, though, the lake is sure to be flat out gorgeous. Watson Lake packs an enormous punch in the scenery and recreation arenas despite its relatively small size.
