Trionfale market is considered the first corner market in Rome and with its 273 stalls is the biggest in Rome. The market is organized in hallways, with colored stalls according to the merchandising category. Despite its vicinity to the Vatican, this traditional market caters to locals rather than to tourists. A majority of the market is given over to food stands and small home goods, but you can truly do just about anything in the crazy mishmash that is Trionfale Market. There is a stand for shoe repairs, eyeglass fittings, haircuts and more. This is a major hub of activity in the Prati area.
