For the ultimate view back towards the city (and a great spot to watch sun down), head up to North Head. There are extensive walking / cycle tracks in the Sanctuary, and there are frequent buses from Manly that will take you up there. There are also sign-posted walks up there, which will take you through some of the history of the battlements that are spread throughout the Sanctuary.

Some great walks and viewing points looking up the harbour, across to the eastern suburbs and up the northern beaches.

We are an easy flat walk to Manly's best beaches, the wharf area, Shelly Beach, Fairlight rock pools, public transport next street, shopping malls 12 minutes away, local shops in abundance

North Head is very close to home. you can drive up in a few minutes or explore the native scrub walking trails (aprx 30mins one way). Spectacular views of Sydney Harbour and city. Walk Fairfax path to take you right to the headland. There is a cafe and toilets at North Head...and explore the military barracks along the way. WW2 gun emplacements, Quarantine cemetery and Memorial walk to honour veterans.
