If you can find parking this is one of the most popular places to go and see the Flatirons in Boulder. There is a cool restaurant here as well.

The term Chautauqua (pronounced shuh-TAW-kwuh) is used to describe a vast area right at the foot of Boulder’s Flatirons mountains. It encompasses the sprawling lawn of Chautauqua Park, the Colorado Chautauqua historic district and the Chautauqua Trailhead, from which 40 miles of hiking trails can be accessed.

Chautauqua Park has miles and miles of trails as well as a great field for picnics, a playground for kids, and a dining hall.

Chautauqua Park is absolutely stunning and a must-see for anyone coming to Boulder. Whether you want just want to hang out and enjoy the view or hike up into the mountains, Chautauqua has it all.
