Mt. Airy’s most famous restaurant, and one of the oldest surviving restaurants in NC. Lots of folks come to Mt Airy just to eat the “Famous Pork Chop Sandwich.” Confession, not a huge fan, but may be worth the experience. If you’re looking for a breakfast biscuit, they have a selection of made from scratch biscuits. Note: Very crowded on Saturday’s. *WD*

Since the 1960’s The Snappy Lunch has been the subject of numerous news articles, television stories and national reviews. Celebrities are regularly seen visiting The Snappy Lunch to have their picture taken with Charles, share in the ambiance of the busy diner and/or just to enjoy a World Famous Pork Chop Sandwich of their own.
